مَنَازِلُ فِي غِمَارِ النُّجومِ،
حَدَائِقُ غَنَّاءُ تُجَاوِرُ الشَّمْسَ؛
أَبْقِ جَمالَكَ المُحْتَجِب؛
لا تُلقِ بِنُورِكَ على قَلْبِي الهَشِّ.
فَطَالَما هِيَ مَعِي
فِي مَسْكَنٍ مُظْلِمٍ حالِكٍ،
فَلَا أيامَكَ المُكَلَّلَةَ بالذَّهَب
وَلَا لَيَالِيكَ المَطْلِيَّةَ بالفِضَّةِ
قَدْ تُنَادِيني إِلَيْكَ.
فَطَالَما هِيَ مَعِي
فِي مَسْكَنٍ مُظْلِمٍ حَالِكٍ،
هُنا سَأَبْقَى وَأَرْتَقِب.
